SARATOGA SPRINGS — Six members of the Saratoga Springs Police Department were among the city’s top earners in 2017. 

Police Sergeant Mark Leffler earned the most in the city with a gross income of $142,048. His base pay was $87,075.

Police Lieutenant Thomas Mitchell Jr. came in fourth place with a gross income of $137,491. His base pay was $98,538. 

Police Chief Gregory Veitch was the fifth-highest-paid city employee, with a base pay of $120,637 and gross income of $136,386.

Assistant Police Chief John Catone came in eighth with a gross income of $133,242. His base pay was $115,203. 

Police Sergeants Jason Mitchell and Paul Veitch were ninth and 10th highest-paid employees list, respectively, both with a base pay of $85,565. Mitchell’s gross income was $132,116, while Veitch’s was $125,241.
