So-called leaders are too out of touch

Public isn't stupid

On Feb. 1, House Speaker Paul Ryan publicly denied that Rep. Devin Nunes’ memo is politically motivated. “The memo is not an indictment of the FBI, the Department of Justice,” Ryan said during a Republican retreat. “What it is, is Congress’ legitimate function of oversight to make sure the FISA process is being used correctly.”

Really? Then, why was the memo written by a single member of the House Intelligence Committee, Devin Nunes, and his staff? In the name of transparency, why doesn’t Paul Ryan think it would also be a good idea to release the response memo by Democratic members of that same Intelligence Committee?

Come on, Paul. It’s truly maddening to have so-called leaders from either party, like Paul Ryan and Nancy Pelosi, treat us like we are stupid.  It’s time for us to elect representative leaders who have had some recent contact with everyday people, not “leaders” who have been in Washington so long that they have totally lost touch with the rest of us.
