
A winter weather advisory has been extended until 6 p.m. Sunday for the majority of the Capital Region.
Ice is leading to difficult travel conditions in some areas, according to the National Weather Service in Albany:
There are a lot of icy spots on untreated roads this morning in and around the Capital District with temperatures below freezing. Use caution if out and about. Light freezing rain or freezing drizzle will persist into at least early afternoon. #518wx

“Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving,” the advisory notes.
The advisory, according to the weather service, is in effect for Albany, Fulton, Montgomery, Saratoga, Schenectady and Schoharie counties.
Saratoga Springs police just before 11 a.m. reported at least 10 accidents.
Department of Public Works crews are “working on the roads,” police said.
