QUEENSBURY — A Schenectady woman stole more than $8,000 from the KFC restaurant where she worked, Warren County sheriff’s deputies said.

Tanya S. White, 43, of 799 Albany St., faces one count of third-degree grand larceny and first-degree falsifying business records, both felonies.

White is accused of taking orders from customers and failing to enter the transactions into the cash register. She then pocketed the cash, investigators said.

In all, she took $8,400 from April to January by omitting the transactions from her daily cashier’s report, officials said.

She was arraigned and ordered released to return to court later.
