COLONIE — Nonstop flights between Buffalo and Albany began Tuesday morning with a 7 a.m. flight out of Buffalo Niagara International Airport.
Pittsburgh-based OneJet is offering twice-daily flights between the two cities on its about 30-passenger ERJ135 jets.
Flights will depart Albany International Airport for Buffalo at 8:20 a.m. and 6:10 p.m. weekdays and will depart Buffalo for Albany at 7 a.m. and 4:50 p.m.
Fares start at $149 each way.
Albany airport spokesman Doug Myers in December said the Albany-to-Buffalo route was last flown by US Airways, which had enough demand to use midsized jets. It discontinued the service in 2010.
