Schenectady County sheriff announces drug arrests

Involved investigation, search warrant at Pennsylvania Avenue residence, authorities say

SCHENECTADY — Five people were arrested last week on drug charges in Schenectady, Schenectady County sheriff’s officials said.

Four were arrested Feb. 9 after an investigation and search warrant at 706 Pennsylvania Ave., officials said. They found prepackaged heroin, packaging material and drug paraphernalia.

Luis Santiago, 29, and James Rosa, 30, were each charged with felony drug possession counts. Kiara Carrasquillo, 25, faces a misdemeanor drug count. Investigators also charged Angel Valentin Santiago, 25, with felony drug counts. Angel Santiago is currently in prison on other charges, officials said. Each lived at the residence.

On Feb. 8, investigators arrested Erica Danzy, 34, of 1027 Wendell Ave., on multiple felony drug counts. Investigators found heroin and paraphernalia, along with packaging materials, officials said.

Investigators also made two other arrests last month: Richard Hooper, 29, of 333B McClellan St., on Jan. 25 and Enrique Padragon, 16, no address given, on Jan. 29, officials said. Both face felony drug counts.
