COLONIE — Police have made a second arrest in connection with an October burglary at a Colonie gun shop, authorities said Wednesday.
Marcus A. Allert, 17, of Rensselaer, is accused of being the getaway driver for Nathan E. Hennessy, 21, of Albany, who was arrested Monday, police said.
Allert was identified shortly after the Oct. 29 burglary at NY Shooter Supply, 1593 Central Ave., as a possible suspect, police said, but authorities were still recovering evidence. Four handguns remain missing, police said.
Authorities believe Hennessy is the person seen in surveillance video that was released in October.
Allert has been charged with third-degree burglary, third- and fourth-degree grand larceny and third-degree criminal mischief, all felonies, as well as fourth-degree criminal mischief and possession of burglar’s tools, both misdemeanors. Hennessy faces the same charges.
Allert was due Wednesday night in Colonie Town Court, police said.
