Enforce existing gun laws as a solution

There has been yet another school shooting

I am a life member of the NRA and I am growing increasingly weary of all the meaningless activity on the part of our elected officials in response to school shootings. We fly our flags at half staff, committees are formed, elected officials point fingers at each other decrying the event and attempting to affix blame for the lack of action on the opposition and their efforts to enact additional and unnecessary gun control legislation.

In point of fact, all of these histrionics are patently ineffectual and after a short time, the incident will have faded from memory until the next shooting happens. And then the cycle of excuses repeats itself.

There has been yet another school shooting. This situation is unacceptable and must be stopped immediately. There are more than enough gun laws in this country that have already been enacted, and one law that might have prevented tragedies like this was repealed a year ago.

Is it too much to ask or to expect that the existing gun laws be enforced rather than merely discussed as a part of an agenda for the next congressional committee to be formed? How many children will have to be murdered before this nation and its elected officials come to their senses, eliminate the rhetoric and take action?
