ALBANY — A Bronx man received 3.5 to 7 years in state prison in a forged prescription case, Albany County District Attorney’s officials said.

Justin Lopez, 23, pleaded guilty earlier to one count of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a felony.

Lopez had been accused of possessing multiple forged prescriptions for Promethazine/codeine syrup and then presenting them at pharmacies in Albany County to obtain the controlled substance between Feb. 15 and March 8, 2017, officials said.

His sentence reflected a 2015 drug conspiracy conviction in Vermont, officials said.
