COLONIE — The United States Postal Service Processing and Distribution Center located on Old Karner Road has reopened following a hazmat situation, News gathering partner CBS6  reported Sunday. A spokesperson says that the center has been cleaned according to USPS protocols.

The facility was closed for much of Sunday for investigation and cleaning. Three employees were sent to an area hospital after they developed rash-like symptoms, CBS6 said. While all three employees have been released from the hospital, investigators have not yet determined what substance may have caused the rash.
