
Michelle Tsao, principal at Averill Park High School, this week was named the new principal of Saratoga Springs High School.
She will take over the position beginning July 1, replacing interim principal Lynette Whaley as the head of a high school with around 2,000 students.
Tsao earned a master’s degree in education in 2000 from UAlbany and has worked in various districts and high school around the Capital Region.
She served as principal in Averill Park for three years. Before that she worked as an assistant principal at Shenendehowa and Queensbury high schools and as a social studies teacher at Ballston Spa High School.
