AMSTERDAM — An Amsterdam man is facing charges that accuse him of growing marijuana at his residence, state police said Monday.
Kevin Hilts, 43, faces one count each of third-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony, and the misdemeanors of unlawful growing marijuana, weapons possession and controlled substance possession, police said.
Police found the marijuana indoor grow operation in his basement, along with packaged marijuana, pills and chuka sticks, police said.
Hilts was released on his own recognizance, pending a future court appearance.
