BOLTON — The superintendent of the town’s wastewater treatment plant falsified testing results and is now facing charges, authorities said.
Thomas French, 37, of Bolton Landing, was arrested Tuesday on a host of charges that accuse him of fabricating results to show the town plant was in compliance with state regulations and then reporting those results to the Department of Environmental Conservation.
He faked reports concerning pH and phosphate levels in April and May 2017, officials said. The town sits on the banks of Lake George.
French faces four counts of second-degree offering a false instrument for filing and two counts of tampering with or knowingly rendering inaccurate any monitoring device, felonies. He also faces four counts of second-degree falsifying business records, misdemeanors.
He was arraigned in Albany City Court and released.
