SCHENECTADY — Interstate-890 will briefly close to all traffic for several periods Thursday night into Friday morning due to ongoing repair work on the Michigan Avenue Bridge, the state Department of Transportation said.
The closures will take place between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., and may last up to 10 minutes while construction crews removal steel from underneath the bridge.
DOT said motorists should expect to continue to see off-peak hour closures of lanes, with two of the four lanes closed, as construction continues. Work on the $3.5 million project began last October, and will last until late this year.
