Do you like fidget spinners? Have you ever played with one at school? You shouldn’t.
Many kids don’t pay attention during class when they spin the gadget under their desk. Fidget spinners are distracting, dangerous and most schools banned them. My school banned them, so I think other schools should too.
First of all, fidget spinners should be banned from school because these toys get people hurt. People do tricks with these toys and I’ve seen it in my class before. Some people actually broke their teeth by spinning a fidget spinner on their tooth. And I’ve also seen people bring the fidget near their eyes and the eyes didn’t look good after that. Also, the toy actually is a choking hazard.
Another thing is, these toys are a distraction to the whole class. Some fidgets make loud noises, which makes it harder for others to listen. It also distracts the person who’s using it. In class, kids could fool around and not pay attention and use the fidget spinners under their desk when the teachers aren’t watching.
Most people say fidget spinners are terrible anyway, so they should be banned. Nine out of 15 kids in my class say that the toy should be banned. “Kids fool around during class and don’t learn anything,” said Julian VA from Okte Elementary School.
People think that fidget spinners are supposed to be used for concentration, but instead people use them and usually do not pay attention. The school that I’m from is Okte, which has already banned fidget spinners. Most schools are banning fidget spinners, and the rest of the schools will also ban them soon.
Five-hundred thousand dollars of fidget spinners are sold each year, which is estimated to be 200 million fidget spinners! That’s a lot! If you’re thinking about buying a fidget spinner, then just don’t bring one to school.
In conclusion, I think that fidget spinners should be banned from all schools.
