Eleven Section II boys’ players have been honored by US Lacrosse, four from Class A champion Niskayuna, including Bob Scott Award winner Thomas Constantine.

A senior midfielder, Constantine was recognized by US Lacrosse as a player who goes above and beyond in service to his team, school and community, and exemplifies the fundamentals of lacrosse, works hard to improve his game and is a leader both on and off the field.

The award is named after Bob Scott, who coach at Johns Hopkins from 1955-74 and led his teams to seven national championships.

Section II’s  2018 All-Americans are senior midfielder/faceoff specalist Eoghan Sweeney of Niskayuna, junior midfielder Griffin King of Niskayuna, senior attackman Luke Julien of Shaker, senior midfielder Sam Swingruber of Ballston Spa, and senior defenseman/longstick midfielder Luke McMahon of CBA

Academic All-Americans are junior defenseman Justin Hay of Niskayuna, junior attackman Ben Reilly of Bethlehem, senior goalkeeper Cole Carpenter of Queensbury, senior attackman Nolan Hogan of Glens Falls, and senior midfielder Tyler Piel of Columbia.

Ballston Spa coach Lucas Snow is the Section II Coach of the Year after leading the Scotties to their first Section II title (Class B) and a spot in Saturday’s state quarterfinals.
