Schenectady Co. Dems endorse Ostrelich

49th STATE SENATE DISTRICT — The Schenectady County Democratic Committee has endorsed Niskayuna resident Michelle Ostrelich in her bid for the 49th State Senate District.

Ostrelich is challenging incumbent Republican state Sen. James Tedisco, of Glenville, who won the seat two years ago after the retirement of long-term state Sen. Hugh T Farley.

“Schenectady County is my home, and I’m truly humbled by this endorsement,” Ostrelich said. “The people here share by concerns about the importance of local economic development and health care. I plan to continue this conversation with them well beyond the length of the campaign. I’m ready to fight for them on the Senate floor.”

Ostrelich has also been endorsed by the Saratoga County Democratic committee and a number of local Democratic elected officials.
