ROTTERDAM — An apparent high-speed chase ended Sunday evening with a one-car crash just past Exit 8 on Interstate 890.

Multiple emergency vehicles responded to scene, which was on the on-ramp from Highbridge Road back to eastbound Interstate 890.

Along with law enforcement officers and emergency personnel, at least three young children could be seen there. None appeared to be injured.

It was unclear whether the driver of the car was injured.

Scanner traffic indicated the incident may have originated in Montgomery County, headed down Route 5 and nearly ran the length of 890, where speeds appeared to top 100 mph. Law enforcement pursued much of the way, according to the scanner.

The ramp back to Interstate 890 was closed for the incident. All lanes of the interstate itself remained open.
