Motorcyclist killed in early Sunday Ballston crash

BALLSTON — One person was killed early Sunday morning after a motorcycle and SUV collided on State Route 67, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

Saratoga County sheriff’s deputies received a call just after 1:30 a.m. regarding a head-on collision between the two vehicles just east of Curtis Lumber, officials said.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, and the operator of the SUV was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The name of motorcyclist has not been released, pending notification of family. The name of the SUV driver was also not immediately released.

State Route 67 between Eastline Road and Brookline Road was closed for several hours as a result of the crash.

The incident remains under investigation by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Unit.

Units from the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office along with the Ballston Spa Fire Department and Malta Stillwater EMS were dispatched at the time of the call.
