The Philadelphia Orchestra will be playing a bit more this year with a new Thursday matinee program at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.
The new program, which is sponsored by the Wesley Community, includes three shows: “Symphonic Shakespeare,” “Young Virtuosi: Carnival of the Animals,” and “Captivating Classics.” The series kicks off on Aug. 2 with additional shows on Aug. 9 and 16.
“Our audiences have been asking for Philadelphia Orchestra matinees for years. We are grateful to The Wesley Community for its support of this new series, which not only makes the experience more affordable for attendees with tickets starting at just $18 for the lawn, but it also helps to increase accessibility to our world-class programming for seniors, families and members of the community who prefer day-time presentations,” said Elizabeth Sobol, president & CEO of Saratoga Performing Arts Center.
Until July 15, ticket holders have the opportunity to receive a 15-percent discount on the tickets.
