SCHENECTADY — Schenectady County Community College is in talks to possibly begin offering Google’s “IT support professional certificate” course for the first time in the spring of 2019, according to college officials.
“We are in negotiations with them,” said Sarah Wilson-Sparrow, a spokeswoman for the college’s Workforce Development & Community Education department.
The certificate program aims to train learners with no prior experience to be IT support professionals in about eight months, according to the prepared statement. In the five months since its inception, almost 40,000 learners have enrolled in the online program.
