SCHENECTADY — A man was in custody Thursday on charges that accused him of shooting at his girlfriend at a Wendy’s fast-food restaurant Wednesday night, according to city police.

Tyree Saxon, 28, of Schenectady, was arrested near the intersection of Edison Avenue and Weaver Street, after his girlfriend called police at 10:54 p.m. and told them Saxon had just shot at her in the area of 132 Erie Blvd., according to a Schenectady Police report.

Saxon, who was found to be in possession of a loaded Rossi .38 Special revolver, was arrested without incident and charged with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree reckless endangerment, both felonies.

Saxon was arraigned in Schenectady City Court on Thursday and was sent to Schenectady County Jail on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. He is scheduled to return to court on July 10.
