LAKE GEORGE – A husband and wife from Saratoga County face charges in connection to an incident that left a Lake George officer injured, Warren County Sheriff’s officials said Tuesday.
Michael J. Chowske, Jr., 39, and his wife Tanya M. Chowske, 37, both of Hadley, were arrested after the Thursday incident.
Tanya Chowske faces a second-degree assault charge, accused of injuring the officer in a scuffle, officials said.
The incident happened just before midnight Thursday evening in the Village of Lake George’s Shepard’s Park, officials said. Lake George officers intervened in a dispute between the Chowskes, but the couple then became uncooperative and aggressive toward the officers, officials said.
They resisted arrested and Tanya Chowske injured officer Tanner LaFarr, officials said. A sheriff’s release did not indicate the extent of LaFarr’s injuries.
Tanya Chowske also faces a misdemeanor resisting arrest count and violation harassment. Michael Chowske faces resisting arrest, misdemeanor obstructing governmental administration and violation disorderly conduct and harassment.
Michael Chowske’s violation harassment charge relates to allegations he struck Officer Sean M. D’Anniable in the face with his elbow. D’Anniable was apparently not injured.
The Chowskes were arraigned and ordered held.
