SCHENECTADY – A dispute at a Rivers Casino and Resort table game Friday night escalated to an assault, authorities said.

The incident happened just after 9:30 p.m. during an unspecified table game at the facility, according to police allegations filed in court.

That’s when Michael Kearsing, 27, of Fisler Avenue, Colonie, intentionally punched a 65-year-old man “several times in the face following a dispute at a table game,” the allegations signed by the victim read.

The victim required treatment at Ellis Hospital for swelling, bleeding and needed sutures to his right eye as a result of the assault, the allegations read.

Police arrested Kearsing afterward and charged him with one count of third-degree assault, a misdemeanor. He was arraigned and released on $500 bail to return to court later.
