Three Montgomery County residents face drug counts in Thruway stop

ORANGE COUNTY — Three western Montgomery County residents are facing multiple drug charges after a downstate traffic stop turned up methamphetamine, MDMA and heroin, state police said.

The vehicle was pulled over for a vehicle and traffic violation just before 10 p.m. Friday on Interstate 87 in the Town of Woodbury, Orange County, troopers said.

Troopers determined they had probable cause to search the vehicle and found 9 grams of MDMA pills, 3.5 ounces of methamphetamine and more than 2,500 wax envelopes containing about 2.7 ounces of heroin, state police said. Troopers also found about 4.5 ounces of marijuana they said.

Police identified the four people in the car as driver Shaiann M. Bouck, 18, of Fort Plain, and passengers James C. Ebeling, 21, of St. Johnsville; Anna M. Herringshaw, 28, of Fort Plain, and Mark A. Gadsden, 33, of New York City.

They were each charged with one count of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance related to the methamphetamine and five counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, all felonies. They also each face misdemeanor marijuana possession charges.

In addition, Ebeling faces a misdemeanor false personation count, and Bouck faces the vehicle and traffic violations.

They were each arraigned and ordered held without bail.
