SCHENECTADY – A city woman was sentenced Tuesday to more than three years in state prison in connection with an April stabbing, Schenectady County District Attorney’s officials said.
Janalynn W. Anderson, 46, pleaded guilty earlier to one count of first-degree attempted assault, a felony.
She admitted earlier that she stabbed a 35-year-old woman at Summit Towers April 10 after an argument. The incident happened at about 4 a.m. on the third floor of the high rise at 720 Albany St. Police soon located Anderson and took her into custody.
Anderson received a total sentence of 3.5 years in state prison and 2.5 years post-release supervision, prosecutors said.
