SCHENECTADY — A car damaged three houses on Michigan Avenue Sunday morning, according to police and a Daily Gazette photographer who responded to the scene.

The driver did not appear to be seriously injured in the crash, and no other injuries were reported.

The crash happened at about 3:50 a.m. on Michigan Avenue, after the driver apparently lost control of his car and struck the homes’ front porches. The car came to rest in front of 383 Michigan Ave., near Schuyler Street.

One home appeared to lose its entire front porch in the crash. A firefighter could be seen tending to the driver at the scene as the driver sat off the sidewalk.

The police department’s traffic division was interviewing one individual, police spokesman Sgt. Matthew Dearing said. The crash remained under investigation on Monday.
