QUEENSBURY – One traffic stop last week resulted in two drunken driving arrests, state police said.
The incident happened Oct. 8 on Helen Street in Queensbury, state police said. Troopers responded after a caller reported a possible intoxicated driver there.
Troopers found the car, pulled it over and found Steven D. Duell, 21, and Chad W. Jarvis, 23, both of Queensbury, inside.
The investigation soon determined that both Duell and Jarvis had been driving the same truck before and after the truck struck some garbage cans and a mail box.
Troopers also determined each to be intoxicated, Duell testing with a 0.18 percent blood alcohol content and Jarvis with a 0.31 percent BAC. The legal limit to drive is 0.08.
Duell faces a misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicated, while Jarvis faces a felony count due to a prior conviction, state police said.
They are both due back in court later.
