
SCHENECTADY – A man pointed a loaded handgun at a group of people Monday afternoon in Schenectady as he was being filmed by a member of the group, authorities said.
Nhoj Sanders, 20, of Queens, was arrested shortly after the incident and charged with multiple crimes, including felony first-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon counts.
The incident happened just before 3:30 p.m. Monday near Glendale Place and Fourth Avenue, according to police allegations filed in court.
Sanders is accused of pointing a loaded Kel-Tec 9mm handgun at the group of six individuals “while it was being filmed by one of the group members.” according to the police allegations.
Police caught up with Sanders minutes later and arrested him.
He also faces six counts of misdemeanor menacing and a misdemeanor controlled substance count related to a Xanax pill he is accused of possessing at the time of his arrest.
