TOWN OF SARATOGA – A home on Saratoga Lake was destroyed in an afternoon fire Sunday.

The fire broke out midday at a home at 75 Old Saratoga Road. Firefighters responded to douse the blaze, but the fire reduced the home to burned-out studs and destroyed a vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

The fire was called in at about 12:15 p.m. by two contractors working on the house for the homeowners, according to interviews at the scene.

The home was fully involved in fire as Quaker Springs firefighters arrived. Arvin Hart and Victory Mills also responded, as did Wilton EMS, park police and state troopers.

The fire remained under investigation.
