SCHENECTADY – The Today Show visited Puzzles Bakery & Cafe in Schenectady earlier this month for a segment on the unique business and the final product is available online.
Producers from the show interviewed owner Sara Mae Pratt, as well as employees for the piece on the cafe’s focus on providing opportunities for people with developmental disabilities.
Pratt provides the voice of the segment, explaining her motivations in opening the cafe, as well as her motivations in fulfilling their stated mission to provide a place where people with developmental disabilities and those without work side-by-side.
“Puzzles Bakery and Cafe is a place where everyone fits in,” Pratt, a 2008 Mohonasen grad, says in the segment.
