Troy Savings Bank Music Hall has announced a new date for the Art Garfunkel concert and also announced that young pianist Joey Alexander is returning to the Hall.

Garfunkel was originally scheduled for Friday, Nov. 16, but the show was postponed due to a winter storm. The new date is Saturday, March 9, at 8 p.m. Garfunkel teamed with Paul Simon to compose and sing some of the most well-known songs from the 1960s and early 1970s.

Tickets purchased for the original date may be used for the March date. Call the box office at 518-273-0038 with any questions.

Alexander, 15, wil perform at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15. Tickets are $44.50, $39.50, $34.50 and $20 (students).

Born on the island of Bali, Alexander originally learned about jazz from his father, who introduced his son to a variety of classic jazz, gospel, classical, rock, and pop albums.

At age 8, UNESCO invited him to play solo piano for Herbie Hancock during the piano great’s visit to Indonesia. By 10, he was performing at jazz festivals in both Jakarta and Copenhagen.
