BREAKFAST WITH SANTA SCHENECTADY — Breakfast with Santa will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday at VFW Post 1895, 609 Draper Ave. The cost is $7 for adults, $6. for seniors, $5 for children 13 and older, and children 12 and younger are free.

‘CHRISTMAS IN THE COUNTRY’ CHARLESTON — “Christmas in the Country” will be presented by the Charleston Historical Society at 2 p.m. on Dec. 2 at the Charleston Historical Society’s headquarters, the former First Baptist Church, Polin Road. The program will feature the Fonda-Fultonville High School Key Club. Refreshments and prize drawings will be offered. The program is free and open to the public. For information call 518-829-7592.


JONESVILLE — Santa Patrol sponsored by the Jonesville Fire Department will take place from 6-9 p.m. on Nov. 30 and Dec. 14 and from noon to 6 p.m. on Dec. 1 and 15. Apparatus and crews from Jonesville FD will visit every street in the Jonesville Fire District with Santa on board as their special guest. BALLSTON SPA — Festival of Trees Open House sponsored by the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Womens’ Club will be from noon to 5 p.m. on Nov. 30; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 1; and noon to 4 p.m. on Dec. 2 at the Ballston Town Hall, 323 Charlton Road. Funds raised support local community projects.


DELANSON — The Toys For Tots train will arrive at 4:15 p.m. on Dec. 1, at the Delanson Firehouse, Main Street. Donations of toys, food and cash will be accepted. Donations are also accepted on Thursday evenings at the firehouse or by appointment by calling 518-895-2199. Toys should be new and unwrapped and no expired food. The annual Christmas Craft Fair will preceed the event from noon to 4 p.m. and features, food, face painting, Santa and more.


SCHENECTADY — A half-price rummage sale will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 1 at St. Adalbert’s Church at the corner of Lansing and Yorkston streets. There will also be free items. GANSEVOORT — Moreau Lake State Park, 605 Old Saratoga Rd. will offer the following: u Kids Craft Program, 10 a.m. to noon, Dec. 1, free. u Lake Ann/Waterfall Trail Loop 5-mile hike from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 3. Fee applies and registration is required. u Mud Pond 2.5-mile hike from 1-3 p.m. on Dec. 4. Fee applies and registration is required. u Western Ridge 6+ mile Hhke from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 5. The cost is $1 for children and age 62 or older and $2 for everyone else. u Knee High Naturalist children’s story and hike at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Dec. 6. The cost is $1 for children and registration is required. u Red Oak Ridge 2.5-mile hike from 10 a.m. to noon on Dec. 6. Fee applies and registration is required. u Spring Overlook 2-mile hike from 1-3 p.m. on Dec. 8. Fee applies and registration is required. u Turkey Path Hike from 1-3 p.m. on Dec. 10.
