NISKAYUNA — The town is continuing to pick up loose leaves and yard debris, a town official said.

“If Town Highway Department crews have already been through your neighborhood once to pick up yard debris, please can or bag any new piles to guarantee pickup,” said Denise Murphy McGraw, chairwoman of the Town Board’s Highways and Public Facilities Committee.

“As previously stated, the town is extending yard waste pickup beyond Dec 1 … and will be picking up as long as the weather permits,” McGraw added. “Crews currently are about two weeks behind the published schedule due to the November snowfall.”

Crews have been working six days per week, attempting to remove as much yard debris as possible while weather permits.
