Glenville meeting canceled to honor President Bush

GLENVILLE — The Glenville Town Board meeting scheduled for Wednesday evening has been canceled to honor former President George H.W. Bush.

“We want to honor President Bush as part of the national day of mourning,” said Town Supervisor Chris Koetzle.

Bush died on Friday in Texas, and a funeral service will be held Wednesday in Washington, D.C. President Donald Trump has declared a national day of mourning, and all non-essential federal offices will be closed. There will be no mail delivery.

Koetzle said town offices will be open regular hours on Wednesday. The Town Board will hold a previously scheduled workshop meeting on Dec. 12, and the next regular Town Board meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Dec. 19.
