School Basketball: Meyer pours in 29 to lead Duanesburg girls

Madison Meyer scored 29 points to lead Duanesburg to a 62-45 Western Athletic Conference girls’ basketball victory over Middleburgh on Wednesday.

The Eagles improve to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in league play. Allison O’Hanlon added 18 points for Duanesburg. 

Lindsey Hampton scored 13 points to lead Mayfield to a 38-27 victory over Galway. Emma Smith and Ryan Ripepi each scored six points for Galway. 

Maraya Davis scored 24 points to lead Mekeel Christian Academy to a 54-42 win against Fonda Fultonville. Abigail Lambordani scored 20 points for the Braves. 
Mackenzie Bowerman scored 22 points to lead Canajoharie to a 60-27 WAC victory over Northville. Alexz Lathers added 14 points for Canajoharie.  

Brinley Inglee scored 23 points to lead Hudson Falls to a 40-35 Foothills Council triumph over Glens Falls. Sovereign Strickland scored 14 points and Anna Bayle added 11 for Glens Falls.

Boys’ Basketball 

Robert Valigorsky scored 20 points to lead Waterford-Halfmoon to an 80-40 victory against Heatly in a non-league game. Michael Castracani added 16 points, while Jake Houle scored 14 for the Fordians. Ricky Boyd scored 16 points while Darius Moore added 10 for Heatly.

Gil Bell scored 17 points to lead Coxsackie-Athens to a 62-58 victory over Germantown in a non-league contest. Killian Schrader scored 15 points and Josh Kiefer added 11 for Coxsackie.

Maximus Prime scored 17 points to lead Canajoharie to a Western Athletic Conference league road win against Northville. T.J. Wadsworth scored 17 points and Nate Reidell scored 12 points for Northville. 

Late Tuesday, Alex Adams scored 28 points to lead Columbia to a 72-56 victory over Ballston Spa in the Suburban Council. Dylan Oumette added 14 points for the Blue Devils. Luke Alteri tallied 26 points for the Scotties and Keegan Zoller added 18.
