High schools: Mechanicville boys’ basketball beats Stillwater

Devin Garland scored 19, points, and Luci D’Ambro scored 14 to lead Mechanicville to a 64-49 Wasaren League victory over Stillwater.

Brian McNeil scored 14 points for Stillwater. 

Jon Kempf scored 18 points to lead Hoosick Falls to a 58-46 Wasaren League victory over Tamarac. Tristan Williams scored 16 points and Max Kipp scored 12 to help Hoosick Falls to its 44th straight Wasaren League win and 74th win in last 76 league games.

Jacob Defrest scored 13 points for Tamarac. 

Nick Santiago scored 14 points to lead Hoosic Valley to a 55-49 victory over Saratoga Central Catholic. Matt Rowe scored 13 and Zach Ryan added 10 points for Hoosic Valley. Ryan McCarroll scored 12 points for Saratoga Central Catholic.  

Tyler Leon scored 20 points to lead OESJ to a 52-44 Western Athletic Conference  victory over Schoharie. Travis La Fountain scored 13 points for OESJ. The game was decided in the fourth quarter, where OESJ went 11-for-12 for the free-throw line. John Blockwood scored 13 points for Schoharie.

Kevin Williams, Treylan Cortina, and Kurtis McMullen each scored 10 points to lead Bishop Maginn to a 64-42 Central Hudson Valley victory over Loudonville Christian. Cameron Simon scored 10 points for Loudonville Christian.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL  
Abby Lombardoni scored 21 points to lead Fonda-Fultonville to a 45-38 Western Athletic Conference Victory over Duanesburg. Duanesburg was led by Maddie Meyer with 21 points. Fonda improves to 7-3 overall and 4-1 in the WAC, while Duanesburg suffered its first loss of the year. 

Abby Kienzle scored 20 points to lead Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons to a 51-35 victory over Canajoharie. Aiyanna Ford scored 12 points, and Ava Megyeri added 10 points for ND-BG. Makenzie Bowerman scored 16 points for Canajoharie. 

Kelsey Terrell scored 21 points to lead Middleburgh to a 71-36 victory over Northville. Morgan Schafroth added 10 points for Middleburgh. Kerrigan Groff scored 10 points for Northville.  

Olivia Olsen scored 21 points to lead Niskayuna to a 49-20 non-league victory over Schalmont. Payton Graber scored 15 points for Schalmont.
