School basketball: Schenectady boys down Shenendehowa

Kareem Sanders scored 16 points, and Jahsean Haggray added 14 to lead Schenectady to a 58-56 Suburban Council boys’ basketball victory over Shenendehowa.

Jonon White added 11 points for Schenectady, which outscored Shenendehowa 30-12 in the third quarter to take a 53-42 lead.

Jake Reinisch scored 17 points, and TJ Sangare scored 14 for Shenendehowa, which outscored Schenectady 14-5 in the fourth quarter to make it close. 
Saratoga Springs beat Albany 74-65 in overtime. Nate Chudy led the Blue Streaks with 28 points. Will Fox added 17.

Tyrell Monroe led the Falcons with 25 points.

Zach Price scored 18 points to lead Averill Park to a 66-48 victory over Shaker. Thomas Hacker scored 15 and Avery Pascucci added 13 points for Averill Park. Anthony Clayton scored 20 points and Sean Seymour added 12 for Shaker. 

Alex Adams scored 20 points to lead Columbia to a 67-39 victory over Guilderland. Dylan Ouimette scored 14 points for Columbia. Brendan Gagan scored 14 points for Guilderland. 

Michael Ortale scored 22 points to lead Bethlehem to a 71-60 victory over Ballston Spa. Erik Salo added 18 points for Bethlehem. 

Richie Quinn scored 15 points to lead Niskayuna to a 60-47 victory over Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake. KJ Cox and Nick Benton each added 14 points for Niskayuna. Jack Wyatt scored 16 points for Burnt Hills. 

Nazaire Merritt scored 16 points to lead Troy to a 51-46 victory over Colonie. Aaron Satin scored 19 points for Colonie. 

Nick Billert scored 16 points to lead Mechanicville to a 61-49 non-league victory over Cohoes. Devin Garland added 11 points for Mechanicville. Ivan Brajac scored 13 points, Troy Snyder scored 12 points, and Tamar Byron added 10 for Cohoes.

Talia Washington scored 15 points for Schenectady. 

Aliyah Wright and Alivia Paeglow each scored 11 points to lead Colonie to a 53-27 victory over Troy.  

Ahniysha Jackson scored 16 points to lead Albany to a 62-51 victory over Saratoga Springs. Jenna Citone scored 13 points, Jumasia Lanier had 12, Leah Gonzalez added 11 points, and Hasijna Gaddy had 10 for Albany.  Kerry Flaherty scored 13 points, Kayla Lahart and Dolly Cairns also had 10 points apiece for Saratoga.

Amelia Wood and Kelsey Wood each scored 15 points to lead Averill Park to a 50-46 victory over Shaker. Anna Jankovic added 12 points for Averill Park. Sole Carrington scored 10 points for Shaker. 

Kendra Lavery scored 17 points to lead Gloversville to a 45-40 Foothills Council victory over Johnstown. Harmony Philo scored 14 points and Daley Jo Christman added 10 points for Gloversville. Abigail Van Valkenburgh scored 11 points for Johnstown.
