Kanye West paid a visit to the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art on Thursday.
He visited with fellow rapper Tyler the Creator and artist James Turrell. They toured the museum with director Joseph Thompson, according to MASS MoCA.
In a photo tweeted by the museum, West and Turrell are bathed in bright light. West is quoted saying “you finally got me here bro” in the tweet. Turrell’s exhibit, called “Into The Light,” uses light as sculpture. It was first installed in 2017 and is slated to be on view at least through 2019.
Coincidentally, according to the museum, the title of an upcoming exhibit is inspired by West’s music.
“Suffering From Realness” reflects the lyrics in the song “Ni**as in Paris” by West and Jay-Z. In the song, West raps “Doctors say I’m the illest / ‘Cause I’m suffering from realness.” The show is curated by Denise Markonish and opens on April 13.
