SARATOGA SPRINGS – The Nativity scene at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church was found vandalized over the weekend, police said.

Police responded to the 149 Lake Ave. church at about 8:40 a.m. Sunday for a report of criminal mischief to the outside display, police said.

Authorities believe the damage happened overnight Saturday into Sunday. Police did not describe the damage in a release.

“No other similar acts of vandalism have been reported,” a police release reads, “but the public is asked to remain vigilant in reporting behavior they suspect to be suspicious.”

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact police at 518-584-1800.
