Major Bowling: Diamond rips 298-1,091 in Vitalo

Jay Diamond found the line for a 298 game en route to a 1,091 four-game series to pace the Vitalo Classic Saturday night at Sportsman’s Bowl. Also reaching the 1,000 plateau were RJ Martinez (300-1,059), Joe D’Aurizio Sr. (1,055), Joe Paone (1,033), Zach Porter (1,010) and JP Harrell (1,002). Ryan Kara-bin and Bill Heaphy joined Martinez with perfect games. John Mecca tossed a 267-764, and Chamar Goodwin shot a 256-748 to pace the Capital District All Star League Thursday night at Sportsman’s Bowl. Keith Livengood (268-732), Brian Perretta (266-730), Malik Myers (259-723) and Jordan Byrnes (252-718) rounded out the leaders.
