A new urgent care medical facility has opened on Route 9 in Clifton Park.

Located at 1694 U.S. Route 9, the new WellNow Urgent Care office, a joint project between WellNow Urgent Care and St. Peter’s Health Partners, will provide immediate medical care to patients — both with and without insurance — seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

“St. Peter’s Health Partners is excited to be opening this new facility in Clifton Park along with our partners, WellNow,” said James K. Reed, president and CEO of St. Peter’s Health Partners, in a prepared statement. “This joint effort reinforces our commitment to ensuring our patients receive the high-quality, compassionate care they are used to receiving from St. Peter’s Health Partners, in the right place, at the right time.”

WellNow Urgent Care and St. Peter’s previously announced the venture to team up in 2018 and began with a rebranding effort focused on already existing medical facilities.

In 2019, the re-branding put both company names on six current locations operated by St. Peter’s and two operated by WellNow in the Capital Region; WellNow’s Niskayuna and Hudson facilities were the first centers to transition into co-branded facilities.

WellNow has forged partnerships in other regions of the state, including Kaleida Health and Erie County Medical Center in Western New York.

“WellNow Urgent Care is proud to open our first facility alongside St. Peter’s Health Partners to offer individuals and families in Clifton Park greater access to urgent medical care services,” said WellNow Urgent Care President John Radford. “Together, we look forward to continue building a unified network of urgent care facilities throughout the Capital Region.”

The new facility in Clifton Park provides treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses, such as sprains, strains, colds and the flu, while also providing on-site X-rays, lab testing, and physicals.

The urgent care company completed the majority of the retro-fitting process for the site.

While patients are treated on a walk-in basis, they may also check-in online or view up-to-date facility wait times directly on the company’s homepage. WellNow accepts most insurance, including Medicare, Medicaid and Fidelis.

There are currently more than 40 WellNow Urgent Care locations across New York and Illinois, with additional facilities planned for Albany, Latham and North Greenbush in 2020.
