ALBANY — City police are investigating an attack on a woman near her home in Albany.
The woman escaped with minor injuries, but she also reported the assailant threw a brick through her apartment window after she got away and ran inside.
The incident happened at about 1:35 a.m. Sunday in the 500 block of Park Avenue, police said.
The woman, 31, reported she was walking toward the entrance of her apartment when an unknown man grabbed her by her clothing. She was able to break free and ran into her apartment to call police, police said.
Once she was inside, the suspect threw the brick and fled, the woman told police.
The woman suffered cuts to her forearm and chest during the incident but declined medical treatment, police said.
