WILTON — A husband and wife and their 20-year-old son are all facing charges related to a New Year’s party, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department.
James J. Motto Sr., 49; Suzanne L Motto, 44; and their son, James J. Motto Jr, have each been charged with nine counts of first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child and one count of sixth-degree conspiracy, all misdemeanors, according to a press release.
Deputies said the trio were arrested after deputies were called to their home on Cherry Tree Lane in the early-morning hours of Jan. 1 to investigate a report of an underage drinking party. At first, deputies could not see evidence of such a party, and the Mottos denied any such activity was taking place there, according to the police report.
Deputies continued to investigate and discovered there was a party happening at the time, deputies said.
The Mottos were arraigned and released to appear in Wilton Town Court at a later date, according to the press release.
