
GREENFIELD – A Greenfield man is facing charges in connection with an accidental shooting Christmas night, Saratoga County Sheriff’s officials said.
The shooting injured an 18-year-old in his upper arm. The victim was treated at Albany Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
The incident happened at the Hyspot Road Mobile Home Park, officials said. Deputies responded and investigators determined that a shotgun had been accidentally discharged, striking the victim.
Investigators determined that William M. Allen, 24, of 299 Hyspot Road 3D, handled the gun. He was charged with second-degree assault and first-degree reckless endangerment, felonies, along with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor.
Allen was arraigned and ordered held on bail.
