MIDDLEBURGH – A Connecticut man has been arrested in a series of car break-ins and a car arson, state police said Wednesday.
Charles A. Tasher, 21, of South Glastonbury, Conn., was arrested Tuesday and charged with one count of third-degree arson, a felony, and three counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, misdemeanors.
Investigators determined Tasher broke into numerous cars, stole property and set one of the vehicles on fire early Tuesday on Danforth Avenue in Middleburgh, state police said.
Tasher was arraigned and ordered held on $1,000 bail.
