
CLIFTON PARK – A Massachusetts man stole debit cards from a Clifton Park fitness facility the same day he appeared in Clifton Park Town Court on 2018 theft charges, state police said.
Roberto A. Dos Reis, 22, of Chelsea, Mass., was arrested last week on two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, felonies, and one count of third-degree identity theft, misdemeanors, state police said.
Dos Reis is accused of taking debit cards from two victims who were at a local fitness facility when their cards were stolen, state police said.
Dos Reis was then stopped by the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center Police for a traffic violation and found to possess the stolen cards, troopers said.
Dos Reis had been in Clifton Park the day of the thefts for an appearance on the 2018 theft case, state police said. Details on the 2018 case were not available.
Dos Reis was arraigned and ordered held on $7,500 bail.
