The National Weather Service on Tuesday morning said light snow had moved into the region and warned the “more impactful snow” would hold off until the after, particularly in the evening. Snow was expected to taper off in the hours after midnight, and temperatures are expected to fall over the next two days.

Forecasters predicted total snow accumulations of six to eight inches in Albany, Schenectady and areas to the southwest; and eight to 12 inches in Saratoga Springs, Gloversville and north into the southern Adirondacks.
