Girls' basketball: Saratoga Springs tops Colonie

Kerry Flaherty scored 27 points as Saratoga Springs rolled to a 73-48 victory over Colonie in Suburban Council girls’ basketball Tuesday night.

With the win, the Blue Streaks (12-2, 14-4) remained on the heels of Shenendehowa at the top of the Blue Division standings.

Catherine Cairns added 15 points for Saratoga, and Caroline LaFountain scored 11.

Ahnalese Pearson and Aliyah Wright each scored 11 points for the Garnet Raiders, and Kyara Triblet scored 10.

Shenendehowa took a 17-point halftime lead and went on to beat Niskayuna 62-42 with a balanced scoring attack.

Cat Almeida led Shenendehowa with 16 points, Meghan Huerter scored 13 and Anna Milham added 11.

Olivia Olden did most of the damage for Niskayuna with 24 points.

Columbia took a 21-10 lead in the first quarter and held off Ballston Spa 54-46 behind 20 points from Lauren Obermayer and 16 from Alexis Van Vorst.

Ana Gold scored 15 points for Ballston Spa, and Sierra Delaney had 14.

Albany outscored Troy 34-17 in the second half to pull away for a 58-36 victory.

Ahniysha Jackson scored 13 points for the Falcons, and Lahnaria Whitaker and Jenna Citone each scored 10.

Alania Holmes led Troy with 13 points.

Julia Harvey and Ava LaClair each scored 13 points as Bethlehem defeated Shaker 47-31.

Jules DeBeatham scored 11 points for the Blue Bison.

Mohonasen led Colonial Council leader Holy Names by a point, 14-13, after one quarter, but Holy Names held the Mighty Warriors to a total of 15 points over the last three quarters to win 51-29 and improve to 16-0 in the Colonial.

Mackenzie Ward scored 14 points for Holy Names.

Emma Osterhoudt scored 19 points to lead Cobleskill-Richmondville to a 55-44 victory over Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk.

Ellia Dannible and Sabrina Pressley each scored 12 points for the Bulldogs.

Lauren Sanderson led Ravena with 16 points.

Ichabod Crane defeated Catholic Central 52-46 as Riley Paul scored 21 points for the Riders.

Sarah Mattfeld scored 21 points for the Crusaders.

Voorheesville broke open a close game by outscoring Albany Academy 34-16 in the second half on the way to a 58-36 victory.

Olivia Barringer scored 27 points for the Blackbirds, and Aaliyah Juste led Albany Academy with 12 points.

Harmony Philo erupted for 37 points as Gloversville defeated Johnstown 68-55 in the Foothills Council.

Jaden Wilson scored 21 points for the Lady Bills.

Maddy Brophy scored 27 points, and Tess Merrill had 20 as Hoosick Falls outdueled Greenwich 67-60 in the Wasaren League.

Logan Thayne scored 25 points for the Witches.
