
HALFMOON — A woman is facing a burglary charge after she entered the Halfmoon Walmart, despite being barred from the store, and took merchandise without paying, state police said.
Cheri L. Shepard, 51, of Schaghticoke, faces one count of third-degree burglary, a felony. She was arrested Wednesday.
Shepard is accused of stealing about $187 worth of merchandise, troopers said.
She was arraigned in Halfmoon Town Court and was ordered held on $1,000 bail. She is due back in court next month.
